as a consumer, I prefer the extra long single shot videos. gets around a bunch of ads, less having to manage as it goes. As a supporter of your content, I am in favor of anything that is easiest for you and makes you the most money. Though I would be annoyed if you started releasing videos shorter than about an hour.

I prefer the singular episodes, though I think combining 2 parts into a video is okay. I find it easier for catching up or rewatching before the next part when it's not a longer VOD where I can get lost in the length. I also generally don't have the time to watch longer videos all at once, so managing videos is a bit easier (for me) when it's divvied up into smaller packages. Whichever you end up doing is fine, but I prefer the shorter stream uploads of each stream. Moving on, loving the annual tradition, happy RE5-mas play through upload day to Ray, chat, and us frogs!

To be honest (and I don't know a lot about this stuff) but there is a RUclipsr that talked about this called The Spiffing Brit. In his video he talks about uploading it both ways. long full play through, short highlight compilations and as smaller sections. He talked about sleeper watchers people that sleep with RUclips on and how you can have more add on those or something. All I wanted to say is it might be an idea as I do like to put on a random stardew let's play and just pass out somewhere.

Release them as separate parts, but release all parts at the same time, that way you get more channel engagement.

This might be a bit of a stupid response, but honestly whatever format makes you more money. I am gonna watch it anyways, so whatever configuration makes more. Long or short does not matter.

The problem with combining it into an ultra long playlist is sometimes RUclips gives you a time stamp when you come back to a vod, but you watch more, and then some refresh happens and you're stuck at the first time stamp and scrolling through for your actual spot is a pain in the ass

So I personally for game sessions that have a big gap inbetween them prefer seperate parts so hey I watched this vod 2 months ago so I'm in the same boat as them if it's a case of hey we played 3 days apart fuck it combine them if you guys marathon the game within a week or 2 and finish the game a long vod like this is fine

personally, i prefer the shorter parts bc i dont like having to wait so much longer than twitch chat does to see your content, especially if sunday has passed and i didnt realise i had missed part of the playthrough, since i cant just pull up the vod on twitch after then if im impatient. also i noticed in other recordings you would reference something funny that happened when you were playing re5 with fefe and it kinda felt like a spoiler since i didnt have the option to have watched that recording before your newer ones idk this is all probably just personal griping so feel free to ignore me! i just enjoy your content and wanna watch it as fast as possible lol

One of my local gamestops had this really, and I mean REALLY, scummy manager that everyone knew was an asshole. Like they had something transferred from another store for a customer and upon receiving it he put it on the floor and sold it immediately. Back when the first Dragonball Xenoverse game released, they had the promo where if you preordered it you got a Steelcase. So I literally went and preordered it the day they announced that promo. Well upon getting to the store to pick up my copy, I saw the steelcases and he handed me just the game without the steelcase. I pointed it out and his response was "Oh you needed to preorder early enough to get the case so you probably missed the cutoff", to which my reply was "I preordered it the day they got announced, you can see that on my preorder". Then he reluctantly handed me the case, and I talked to my buddies who worked there and they basically said they had leftover cases but the manager took them. Shockingly to no one he got arrested a few months later for multiple counts of theft from the location XD.

One day, I will jam with Ray at some point. Today is not that day, tomorrow's not looking good either, but one day

I dig the long playthroughs myself. Timestamps certainly help skip around to certain parts. I also love most resident evils so my opinion is probably biased.

I like long parts with links to every chapter instead of the different days.

Personally I feel I prefer the individual stream uploads. I think I just enjoy the more consistent uploads and having shorter videos that I can easily go through day by day. Also I think the big uploads can be frustrating because sometimes I might rewatch certain streams for bits that I really like, and if I don't remember the timestamp then it gets really cumbersome to skim through those larger videos trying to find it.

I like the shorter parts so that I can catch up before the next part or decide if I want to drop by for the stream of the next parts. Both are good, though! Just happy for the content!

Honestly im fine with either. I'm willing to be patient with the longer vods, but I got nervous because I thought the vods weren't going to be uploaded. It's totally fine to shake it up I just thought us frogs were slowly stop being fed 😭

I Feel with playthroughs like this the best course is to go with the long format but to try and get a highlights done quickly. With these kinds of playthroughs it’s less about watching you play a game you’ve already played through on stream and more about how the person your playing with interacts with the you and the game. For new stuff I like the shorter episodic episodes as it allows me to follow along if I can’t catch the stream. So next day I can go through and enjoy it at my leisure. If it’s a game you’ve never played but it’s older I agree with the comments saying they can be combined as again it’s seeing you react to the game less about the game itself. Highlights for these can take longer to come out.

1-2 can be put together, but 3 and more is too dependent for youtube to forget where I was at and having to hunt down where I was. Lord help us if we fall asleep mid video.

I like the condensed video better personally, but i honestly the split vods are fine too. Which ever upload style youtube pays out more for is the style id ask you to go for.

Thinking on the topic of multipart or long vod's. I think I prefer the long vod's because then I can just put them up over time when I have time where with a multipart vod I feel pressured(by my own anxiety) to keep up so I can watch the parts as they come out

depends on the game, the RE playthroughs are best as 1 giant VOD. Just cause you blaze through them

I think combining the parts works best if it’s a game that is completed in 2 streams or for cases like Sekiro where you streamed the game two days in a row and put both into one upload. The PokeRogue long vod also was great but that seems like a more case by case scenario when you can do that one. Great content as always!

I think combining one or two parts makes sense for keeping your upload schedule less cluttered and giving a nice long piece of content. Tina made the remark in the Grocery Store Sim, Vod that maybe the best route to take it would be to do singular session uploads for new games, two session group ups for older games (like the Sekiro playthrough) and then devote these super longform VODS for the games you have played before, but are now sharing with a new guest/collaborator. I think this is a pretty smart way to do it that also helps keep your channel uploading content in such a way that you can keep a healthy flow of viewership coming to it for the new games for the more content sensitive viewers but also still keep the more dedicated viewers fed with the long form content they crave (my category).

I prefer the part to part episode style and after the final part is released do a full marathon video with the combined parts, that way each part gets views and an extra video when all is done

I like shorter parts because they come out on the day itself. Its hard sometimes to find VoDs of others in the video so I can also see their PoV. And if they also sanitize their VoDs like Ray then its lost content. Maybe long parts if its within the month or week, like several b2b streams. Cuz it will take months if its something like the Dead Space 3 collab with chibi took about 3 months to clear. Also has problems if there's an extra part AFTER the "full playthrough"
